In 2001 Wim, with 25 years of experience, started Welp Makelaardij b.v. in Wassenaar together with his son Joost. He had a clear vision and focus on personal attention and craftsmanship. Together they created a strong reputation, known for customization and reliable service. In 2023, Christian de Kousemaeker took over. With his entrepreneurial heart and passion for real estate, he continues to ensure the personal touch, while working on a new chapter of Welp with refreshing ideas.

After Joost Welp had successfully led for many years, it was time for something new. He was open to a career switch, but wanted to do so only after he had made an informed decision and could leave leadership in trusted hands.
That successor turned out to be Christian de Kousemaeker, who is passionate about real estate while being able to combine his other passion, entrepreneurship. With Christian at the helm, Welp heads into the future with fresh energy in which high quality personal service is at the center.
